New practical resource book for schools

Posted by on February 20, 2017 in Developments | 2 comments

Building on the success of our restorative practice toolkits for primary and secondary schools, Restorative Thinking Limited is developing two new stand-alone resource books for primary and secondary schools.  We plan to launch the two publications in Spring 2017.

A Restorative School: Introducing, implementing and embedding restorative practice in your school, developed by teachers, for teachers

An informative and practical resource book, with:

  • A successful model for the implementation and embedding of a restorative culture for behaviour, relationships and teaching and learning.
  • Photocopiable resource sheets for use with pupils in the classroom to support a restorative education, linked to the key themes of restorative practice.
  • Lesson plans for use with pupils in the classroom, linked to key themes of restorative practice.

Both booklets are endorsed by the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

The booklets are intended to be used by school staff who have attended recent training in the principles and skills of restorative practice; we have arranged a series of open training sessions for schools to coincide with the publication launch.

Please contact Mrs Lesley Parkinson for further details:

  1. How easily could these books be used in schools in the United States? Sounds like a great idea.

    • Hello Marian,
      Thanks for your comment.
All of the themes, lesson ideas and resources are appropriate for all schools in English-speaking countries. We are now taking pre-orders…would be very interesting to hear your feedback!
